CD catalog - what is it?CD Catalog is software database with information about CD, CD-R, CD-RW, CD-Audio, DVD, and other types of disks, as well as ZIP-drives, flash-storage etc. Database makes holding and managing of huge disk collection much easier, because allows the contents of your media available for offline browsing and searching. To perform this task successfully, CD Catalog must scan the disk only once - and all information about media become saved for future application. CD Catalog read from disk and holds in the database full folders structure and full file list, but does not read the file contents (except making the previews). As result, catalog saves the disk space (space used for database is less then full disks value in thousands times). When working with CD Catalog, you see list of disks and familiar folders tree along with files list, just like in well-known Windows Explorer. You can browse through disk list, search by all base (by file name, size, date, disk description etc.), view thumbnails until you find the wanted entry. Then you find it in CD Catalog, you easily find it in your disk stock. Using the CD Catalog saves your time, keeps your disks intact, and brings the full disk stock control to you.
