Ini comparator description

Compare and synchronize .ini (.lng) files. Ideal for updating CD Bank Cataloguer language files.

Ini files comparator compare two ini .files (Windows initialization file). If some section or item from original file missed in destination file, it writes to destination file, and marks with special text. Made especially for ease the CD Bank Cataloguer Language Pack updating.

How to install?

Ini Comparator does not require the installation. Simple unzip and use!

How to use

Ini comparator is ideal for translation authors. Then author get noticed about new version of CD Bank, he can read the list of interface changes and update the Language_Name.lng file manually (CD bank .lng file is just .ini file), or use the Ini comparator.

1. Start the Ini files comparator
2. Select the original .lng file (English.lng).
3. Select the destination .lng file (Language_Name.lng).
4. Press "Compare and write to log" if you want to view all changes. Program prints the names of missed items, and names of missed sections (in square brackets).
5. Press "Compare and update destination" if you want to write the missed elements to destination file. Check On the "Add text to missed items" box, and all added elements will be marking with special text ("<new>" as default).
6. Open the Language_Name.lng with any text editor and translate the new elements.
7. Do not forget to delete the "<new>" text.
8. Start the CD Bank cataloguer and check the result.
